New research published in the Archives of Internal Medicine did a study on the relationship of mortality and how many hours individuals spent their day sitting down. People spending 11 hours a day or more sitting had a far greater risk of early death. This risk ranged from males to females of all ages, health, fitness levels, and body mass index classifications.
