Creator and owner Liz Hilliard has a knack for implementing cutting-edge and evolutionary movements into her high-energy workouts. Equally safe and effective, Hilliard Studio Method promotes the strength of the spine and the power of the core while sculpting the body and strengthening the mind.
The Method started in 2007 with a request from Liz’s daughter, Clary who was hoping to get in the best shape of her life for her wedding. Liz took the challenge to heart and her passion and science-based research led to amazing results for both mother and daughter. They realized that the physical results from HSM were unequivocal at any age. The two became business partners in 2012 until 2020 when Clary decided to step away and become a full time mom.
Hilliard Studio Method has grown to have a thriving community in all 50 states and internationally with their online streaming platform, live Zoom classes, and fully stocked wellness boutique out of their HSM flagship studio in Charlotte, NC. Liz continues to be the driving force behind the brand which has evolved to include the Hilliard Studio Podcast with her co-host and HSM Director of Training, Lee Kennelly.

Liz’s first book, Be Powerful: Find Your Strength at Any Age is not only the story of how Liz created her signature Method, but also how she found the strength to overcome one of her most challenging life events, and inspires others to find their authentic and most powerful selves. Her book, podcast and speaking engagements have taken Liz to a level of national recognition
Described as “Pilates on steroids,” Hilliard Studio Method is Liz’s proprietary core-centric, total-body workout that is both safe and effective. With a supportive and positive approach to her challenging workout, Liz will push you out of your comfort zone to find your edge, not only in your body, but also your mind.
Annually, Hilliard Studio Method donates over $30,000 worth of services to the Charlotte community raising funds for local schools and cultural organizations as well as causes that are close to our trainers and clients hearts.
Liz also hosts empowerment classes for victims of domestic violence, fundraisers for clients undergoing medical treatment and classes encouraging women to love their bodies and feel powerful.
